Welcome to Mundus! an app to revolutionise world-building for any format.
What is Mundus?
Mundus, coming from Latin, means world. It is a program that works on any desktop machine that specializes in world-building for TTRPGs, Films, Novels, and Video Games. But its potential is boundless.
The application leverages the standard "Article" structure available on other world-building tools, yet, with its modular architecture and community plugin support, the app offers greater versatility than any other specialist app in its genre.
Much like Obsidian.md, the articles may be connected by direct links and you have the option to enable indirect or similar linkages such as if one article indirectly mentions another article or if there is similar phrasing. this enables sophisticated relationship building and helps prevent incomplete story elements and narrative holes.
With all the factors described in this article, Mundus looks to be the ideal tool for creatives out there.
How can I get started with Mundus?
Mundus is regrettably currently in Pre-Alpha and a lot of the essentials are still being worked on. So as of yet, there is no downloading app. However, we intend on revealing each important milestone in its development process so please keep checking on our site or there's a newsletter you can sign up for to get the latest news straight away.
How much is Mundus?
We are now examining the market for a suitable pricing point, as well as the best ways of payment. Whether that be "monthly" or "one-time" payments whether there should be a free tier, etc...
However, I will state that in all of the testing fazes to come in the future, Mundus will be free in its entirety. only in its 1.0 release will we ever ask for money.
When will the Open Beta be released?
We don't have any idea as of now. With the creation of the app being so close to the early stages, there's no fair assumption we can make on the release date or any of the beta launches. You mentioned Plugins, Is there an API available?
While you are reading this, we are working diligently to complete the documentation for the API. Most of the plugin frameworks are up and running with minor issues so we will be able to develop an API framework soon as well as a tutorial on how to use the app in preparation for its first Open-Beta. However, again we cannot promise a date for any releases as of yet.
